前言

　　騰挪空間是基于騰挪小組的工作概念創(chuàng)立的藝術(shù)空間（騰挪小組是以挪用、涉入、呈現(xiàn)非既定藝術(shù)領(lǐng)域和非藝術(shù)角度觀念的藝術(shù)事件的工作小組）。成立于2008 年，位于廣州市小洲村，是鑲嵌在一所民宅里的櫥窗藝術(shù)空間，空間特定的位置和櫥窗式的展覽方式，激勵藝術(shù)家與村落與城市建立起某種特殊的對話，“在場”的鮮活感被激發(fā)出來。至今已經(jīng)呈現(xiàn)了105 場藝術(shù)展覽，“騰挪成都”是繼騰挪空間的延伸，也將踐行同樣的理念，但更加側(cè)重于駐地創(chuàng)作。

　　此次展覽是騰挪空間成都駐地工作坊第一期。參展藝術(shù)家包括劉誠歆、張碩、王珊、陳少蓉、尤思邁，駐地為期一個月，他們呈現(xiàn)了各自獨(dú)特的工作方法和富有活力藝術(shù)探索及藝術(shù)家之間有效的合作。劉誠歆在繪畫和裝置間切換自如，裝置常常以鐵、網(wǎng)格材料、水泥、廢棄的物件、磚塊為原材料，出其不意地組裝激活了被日常遮蔽的神秘物質(zhì)感。張碩此次作品包含兩部分，一組布面丙烯，一組電腦繪畫，他在圖像、抽象符號的并置、覆蓋中建立自己的工作維度；王珊的繪畫具有繁盛的人造景觀意向，精心剪裁的圖片、變化多樣的筆觸、活潑的幾何框架被有效的畫面結(jié)構(gòu)所控制著；陳少蓉會預(yù)先在電腦中起稿自己的作品，這些被她視作草稿的部分輕松自由，讓我們看到了新型媒介的可能性和魅力所在。相比而言，以風(fēng)景為主體的布面作品顯得樸素而平靜。尤思邁是這次活動中年齡最小的，他在充實(shí)而輕松創(chuàng)作環(huán)境經(jīng)歷自己第一次藝術(shù)之旅。

Sabaki Space is an art space based on the working concept of the Sabaki group, which is a groupthat appropriates, intervenes and presents art events that not take place in the art world and are notconceived from the perspective of art. Founded in 2008, the Sabaki Space is a window display artspace embedded in a private residence in Xiaozhou Village in Guangzhou. The specific location ofthe space and its exhibition approach through window display inspire the artists to create a specialdialogue with the village and the city, stimulating the vitality of “on-site”. The space ischaracterized by a high degree of autonomy in creation. With an exhibition space of 6 square meters,the space has presented 105 art exhibitions and has been described by the media as the smallest andmost unique art space in Asia. “Sabaki Chengdu” is an extension of the Sabaki Space and willpractice with the same concept, but with more focus on residency program.

This exhibition is the first edition of the residency workshop in Chengdu. The participating artistsinclude Liu Chengxin, Zhang Shuo, Wang Shan, Chen Shaorong, and You Simai, and the programlasted for a month. During their stay, they presented their unique working methods and dynamicartistic explorations and effective collaborations between artists. Liu Chengxin switches betweenpainting and installation with ease, and his installations often employ iron, grid materials, cement,discarded objects, and bricks as materials, unexpectedly assembling them to stimulate a mysterioussense of materiality obscured by the everyday life. Zhang Shuo’s work consists of two parts, agroup of acrylic paintings and a group of digital paintings, on which he presents his working methodwith the juxtaposition and overlay of images and abstract symbols. In Wang Shan’s paintings, hecreates an exuberant artificial landscape, with deliberately cropped images, varied brush strokes, andvivid geometric shapes controlled by an effective composition. Chen Shaorong tends to draft herworks on computer first, and these works, which she regards as sketches, seem easy and free,showing us the possibilities and charms of new media. In contrast, the works on canvas, on whichthe subject matters are mainly landscapes, seem humble and calm. You Simai, the youngest in thegroup, gets the opportunity to have his first artistic journey in a fulfilling and relaxing creativeenvironment.

The exhibition will run until October 8th.
